When the author became pregnant with twins at 18, she experienced loneliness and fear as a single parent. Through many bad choices and dark times, she cried out to God for help and was rescued. God then surrounded her and her sons with His people and changed her heart. Now God is calling her to open a home where women can come, share their gifts, and receive shelter, family and the opportunity to see their worth and value in Jesus. The goal is for "His Place" to change statistics by not letting women and children feel alone and by raising the next generation

Satan unleashes a familiar attack on the heart of a woman. He is a thief, he knows you, hates you, and wants to take your identity. He creeps in to kill, steal and destroy God’s plan for your life (John 10:10). He is not creative with his assault because what he is using has worked for centuries.
His agenda is a repeating play of rejection, isolation, abandonment, and distrust. It continues to debut with different actors at the various stages of your life. The game has the same ending. It leaves you defeated and sinking deeper into a den of distrust.

It is possible to be in a position of church leadership without ever having a pure and wholehearted devotion to God. Research of many years has revealed there is always a contradiction between what is preached in the church and what is practiced in a larger society. As the church increases in population, riches and worldly wisdom, is there a corresponding spiritual power and piety? Despite the proliferation of churches, there has been an alarming wave of iniquities across the land. Terrifying winds of worldly distractions and compromise are blowing all around us. Sinners are becoming more hardened to the warnings of God. A man or woman can be characterized as godly while practicing ungodly things as a result of the end time satanic revival. The cup of iniquity of this generation is full and it is running over. The father of sin is the devil, the companion of sin is shame and the wages of sin is death. Prosperity message has taken over the pulpit at the neglect of the message of repentance which has enslaved many hearts in pleasure and love of the world. There is need to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints in order not to run in vain.
Faith Is...
Faith is relying on God's plan and purpose for one's life even when everything seems meaningless. It is depending on God's unconditional love rather than trying to understand difficult circumstances. Faith is keeping faith in God's strength alone when tired, discouraged, or feeling deserted. I almost prefer the moments of agony. These are at least clean and honest. But the bath of self-pity, the wallow, the loathsome sticky-sweet pleasure of indulging it—that disgusts me. And even while I’m doing it I know it leads me to misrepresent H. herself. Give that mood its head and in a few minutes I shall have substituted for the real woman a mere doll to be blubbered over. Thank God the memory of her is still too strong (will it always be too strong?) to let me get away with it. For H. wasn’t like that at all. Her mind was lithe and quick and muscular as a leopard. Passion, tenderness, and pain were all equally unable to disarm it. It scented the first whiff of cant or slush; then sprang, and knocked you over before you knew what was happening.
