Mr. R.Umashankar is the founder of the Highcity Group of companies. He did specialize in
Architectural Course and established Highcity Group. He founded Highcity Group in Bangalore in
2002 and subsequently promoted the Highcity Infrastructures (P) Limited and in parallel established
a Public Limited Company named Highcity Infraventures Limited with an aspiring vision to promote
High Quality Projects in the Niche Market. He is actively involved in the day-to-day operations and
activities of the Company and also expanded into Design, Construction and Residential Property
Developments. As a first generation entrepreneur, Mr.Umashankar has experience in diversified
industries such as Electronic Instrumentation Industry and enhanced his activities in the Plant and
Project Automation/Robotic Sector.
V.R.Gulur-Vice President-Building Technologies Division
Mr. V.R.Gulur is a Highly Experienced Scientist in the Civil/Construction Sector, has done his Bachelor of
Science and also completed his Bachelor of Engineering by achieving 2nd Rank from Mysore University
and furthercompleted his MS atBrigham Young University Provo Utah, USA
He had started his job carrier as a Lecturer in Malnad Engineering College and further found his job with
Urbco Int’l, AZ, USA as a Structural Engineer and was promoted soon as higher cadre Manager and finally
established his own company in USA and served the sector by executing residential projects for the
reputed giants like Boeing Air Plane Company at Seattle in USA. Presently designing various models of

Mr. H.S.Vishwanath is a Highly Experienced Engineer / Contractor in the Civil / Construction Sector,

He had started his job carrier as a Lecturer in National College, Bangalore and further found his own
Construction Enterprise in Bangalore since 25 Years and served the sector by executing Multiple
Apartments, Residential Buildings, Pharmacy Industry, Commercial & Institutional projects for the
reputed clients. Now heading the Construction Division for achieving the quality deliveries through his

Mr.Bharath Kashyap U.S. Director – Concept & Design
Bharath Kashyap U.S is the creator ofthe concepts and architectural designer ofall the ongoing projects of
the group. He has completed his Bachelor of computer application and has done Master Diploma in
Building Design. He started his entrepreneurial career during his studies. He was involved in a start-up
business in the printing space for its designs. After completion of the studies, joined the Group to take the
business to newheights and is a Director forhis forte.

RESIDENTIAL OVERVIEW
Bangalore is the fifth largest city in terms of population and continues to grow at a rapid pace. The city’s population has been increasingly driven by the IT boom which has resulted in a large migrant population
shifting base to the city. The residential market is divided into five major markets namely Central, North, West, South and East Bangalore. Central Bangalore has limited land availability as a result of which
small-scale apartment complexes comprising of 8-16 units targeting high-end clients are being developed. While North Bangalore is home to the elite, South Bangalore caters to the HIG and MIG segments.
Most ofthe residential supply is concentrated in East and South-East Bangalore as IT/ITES activity is concentrated in thatregion.
The halt in recruitment plans of most leading IT/ITES firms in 2010 and 2011, led to an uncertain job market thereby reducing spending power. Oversupply in micro-markets such as Sarjapura, OuterRing Road,
Whitefield and Marathalli forced apartment owners to offer the steep discount to combat weak consumer sentiments. Prices during the slowdown had depreciated by as much as 30-35%. But by the end of
