Many Muslims were not enthusiastic about the Nehru report. Amongthem
Mohammed Ali Jinnah was a prominent figure. Jinnah felt thatMuslims had sacrificed too much
in order to reach a compromise theissue of communal representation. As for example, they had
allowedcongress to go back on concessions granted by the Lucknow pact of1916. Jinnah
declared himself to be anxious for a harmonioussettlement. At an `all-parties` convention held in
Calcutta inDecember, he pleaded for unity. He declared that `we are sons ofthis land we have to
live together`, but at the same time he askedfor more safeguards for Muslims. His proposed
amendments wererejected and he walked out of the convention. Jinnah then allied himself with
the less progressive Muslims, onwhose behalf he drew up a list of principles. These principles
arepopularly known as the so-called fourteen points. These fourteenpoints represented the
Muslim`s minimum demands. These includedseparate elevates, the reservation of one-third of
the seats in thelegislative assembly for Muslims although the community accountedfor only one-
quarter of the ration, and the creation of Muslimmajority provinces. Later the league formally
rejected the Nehrureport. A brief period of Hindu Muslim co-operation had come to anend. This
unfortunate development seemed to be offset for a while bychange for the better in the attitude of
the British. The labourparty had promised so much to Indian nationalism. It came to powerin the
British elections. The viceroy lord Irwin, went to London,and on his return stated that the
government accepted that `thenatural issue of India`s constitutional progress` was `minionstatus`.
He also announced that a round table conference, to whichIndian leaders would invited, would
be held to work out aconstitution for India. In England, there was still considerable opposition to
Indianaspirations despite the viceroy`s assurances. The labour party didnot have a clear majority,
and imperialist interests were stillpowerful. Lord Birkenhead, the former secretary of state,
declared`no one had the right to tell the people of India that they werelikely to attain dominion
status` but hopes were still high inIndia. It was stated only two months after Irwin`s statement.
Inthe `Delhi manifesto`, Gandhiji, the two Nehru, Tej Bahadur Sapruand others, pledged their
co-operation in evolving a dominionconstitution. But when Gandhiji, the elder Nehru and others
met theviceroy in December, Irwin said that he could not promise that theBritish government
would grant dominion status. This turnaboutsettled matters for Gandhiji. From this moment he

elected body if three-fourthof the members of any community in that particular body oppose
sucha bill resolution or part thereof on the ground that it would beinjurious to the interests of that
community or in the alternative,such other method is devised as may be found feasible
andpracticable to deal with such cases.
9. Sindh should be separated from the Bombay Presidency.
10. Reforms should be introduced in the North West FrontierProvince (NWFP) and Baluchistan
on the same footing as in the otherprovinces.
11. Provision should be made in the constitution givingMuslims an adequate share, along with
the other Indians, in all theservices of the state and in local self-governing bodies having
dueregard to the requirements of efficiency.
12. The constitution should embody adequate safeguards for theprotection of Muslim culture and
for the protection and promotionof Muslim education, language, religion, personal laws and
Muslimcharitable institution and for their due share in the grants-in-aidgiven by the state and by
local self-governing bodies.
13. No cabinet, either central or provincial, should be formedwithout there being a proportion of
at least one-third Muslimministers.
14. No change shall be made in the constitution by the CentralLegislature except with the
concurrence of the State\'s contributionof the Indian Federation.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The waters tanks radius 1.25m and a height of 2.1 m Thanks Reply asap! Solution Volume of tank = *r^2*h =10.31 metre cube [ r=1.25, h=2.1] So amount of water goes = 10.31/17*10 =6.063 cm
