The iconic DeLorean time machine in the movie “Back to the Future” was originally meant
to be a refrigerator! In the original draft of “Back to the Future”, Marty was meant to climb
into a fridge which was strapped to the back of a truck hurtling toward an atomic
explosion. The plan was for the energy from the nuclear reaction to provide the necessary
power for time travel.

There is a Starbucks cup in every single scene in the movie “Fight Club“. Fight Club made a
huge point of the effects that consumerism has on our lives. So much so, that director David
Fincher decided to hide a Starbucks cup in every single scene to make a point.

The director of the movie “Cannibal Holocaust” was arrested for murder and had to prove his
innocence by calling in all his “murdered” actors. This is because the courts could not
understand how an impalement scene was done and believed an actress was murdered for
the sake of the movie.

There is a scene in “Matrix Reloaded” when Trinity hacks into a power station’s computer
that’s actually very accurate. The scene in which Trinity hacks into the power station’s
computer is realistic and exposes an SSH vulnerability. While the program Trinity uses once
she’s gained access is fictitious, it shows just how much research was made into filming the
Matrix movies to ensure they were believable.

In “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory”, Tim Burton had 40 squirrels trained to crack nuts
rather than use CGI. Tim Burton made a lot of effort to ensure “Charlie & the Chocolate
Factory” was as real as possible. Part of this meant training squirrels to crack nuts rather
than use readily available computer graphics. Some of the squirrels came from rescues and
private homes, while others had to be hand reared and required bottled milk on set.
