Watering & Feeding
Most herbs are tolerant of dry conditions
(except mint) so water only as the soil
begins to dry out, never allowing it to remain
soggy. Use organic fertilisers like Talborne Vita

3 weeks.

Dry herbs when the plant is at the peak of it’s
growth cycle.
Never mix parsley & mint neither sage & basil
To dry spread herbs on a paper towel, dry for
30 second in microwave or until dry to prevent
herbs from burning
Growing Position & Soil
Mint and parsley can take a slightly shaded
position, heavier soil and more water
Most herbs need at least 6 hours sun per day
Use Culterra Herb Potting Mix (1)
Plant herbs that have similar growth and
watering requirements together
Top dress with organic compost (2) mainly
at the end of winter to encourage spring
growth
Plant perrenial and shrubby herbs at the back
of the herb patch and annual herbs in the
front to simplify maintenance
A layer of organic mulch (3) keeps soil
temperature even, evaporation minimal and
slowly replenishes nutrients
