Germany has both public and private childcare options that are regulated at the state level. Historically, East Germany had higher rates of women in the workforce and children in daycare compared to West Germany. Today, the childcare system aims to support traditional gender roles by providing subsidized care for approximately 88% of children ages 3-6, while care is scarcer for younger children. Childcare workers are required to have some training but not necessarily a college degree. The German government also provides financial support for families through maternity leave, child benefits, and other programs to help make childcare accessible.
The Iliad by Homer tells the story of the Trojan War. It focuses on the quarrel between Achilles and Agamemnon and its consequences. When Agamemnon takes Briseis, one of Achilles' war prizes, Achilles withdraws from battle in protest. Without Achilles, the Greeks are pushed back by the Trojans led by Hector. Patroclus wears Achilles' armor into battle, but is killed by Hector. In revenge, Achilles ends his feud and returns to the fighting, killing Hector. The epic concludes with Hector's funeral.

Pamana ng kabihasnang greek pilosopiya, kasaysayanNoemi Marcera
The document discusses several key ideas from ancient Greek philosophy. It mentions that philosophy comes from the Greek term meaning "love of wisdom" and that Greeks were taught to use reason over emotion and to critically examine their lives. It then profiles several major Greek philosophers like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle and some of their most important philosophical contributions including examining different forms of government. It also profiles Herodotus, calling him the "Father of History" for writing what is considered the first complete historical account of events.
The document discusses two ancient civilizations - the Minoans and the Mycenaeans. The Minoans were the first civilization in Greece, centered on the island of Crete with their main palace located at Knossos. They heavily influenced later Greek culture. The Mycenaeans were the first civilization on the Greek mainland, based around the city of Mycenae. They built an empire through trade and conquest, and engaged in wars with Troy that inspired later Greek myths. Both civilizations declined - the Minoans from disasters and the Mycenaeans from wars and invasions.
