WHERE HCW PROVIDES SUPPORT
AFRICAN PROGRAMS, SIERRA LEONE Child Rescue Centre Started with 40 children in 2000 The CRC develops and transforms poverty-stricken and war-affected children into adults who become  strong leaders  in their homes, their communities, and their country of Sierra Leone.  Currently 70 in residential program, 150 in child support program, and 24 in foster care program 8 youth went to college this year , joining the 13 other student that are currently in university or vocational training programs
DEVELOPING STRONG LEADERS IN SIERRA LEONE 76% of the population live below the poverty line of $2 per day 80% of the population does not have a high school education
AFRICAN PROGRAMS, SIERRA LEONE Mercy Hospital Established October, 2007 25 bed primary care facility, serves 900 patients a month  Providing the best quality medical care to Bo, Sierra Leone and the surrounding communities,  regardless of ability to pay Clinical and Community Based Programs:  HIV/AIDS Malaria Mobile Prenatal Outreach Care Nutrition Tuberculosis (TB)
SAVING LIVES, BUILDING HOPE IN SIERRA LEONE   1 in 8 women will not survive child birth 1 in 5 children will not live to see their 5 th  birthday
LOCAL PROGRAMS, HERNDON Connections for Hope Opened February 2010 A  partnership  of non-profit organizations and other service providers that operate under one roof to provide individuals and families in need with access to  an integrated array of services . Working together  with a shared purpose to provide services that foster self-sufficiency, good health, and education  Holistic approach to serving people in need in our community Work more efficiently
