We are Polish students from grades 5 and 6 at a small primary school in Krasne Potockie, Poland looking forward to exchanging emails and letters with our new Spanish pen pals. Our school has 10 teachers and 70 students aged 5-12 split into small classes of 8-12 children each. We are excited to learn about our new Spanish friends and the culture of their country while sharing about our small village in southern Poland surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.

Students from Portugal participated in a student exchange program in Slovenia. Gonçalo enjoyed his homestay experience but did not like the school food. Tiago was warmly welcomed by his host family and enjoyed activities at the clean and organized school, especially sports and the water park. Beatriz was initially nervous but was made to feel at home by her host family. She enjoyed cultural experiences in Ljubljana and Beltinci and appreciated learning about other cultures through school programs. The exchange was a unique and unforgettable experience for all.

The activities were interesting and took place in a hospitable environment. The author was glad to have the opportunity to spend a week in Slovenia participating in various activities.

Anastasia took a trip to Slovenia where she visited several towns and workshops. In Murska Sobota, she attended folklore, dance, and pastry workshops where she learned to make licitar, a traditional Slovenian sweet. She also visited Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia. At a pastry workshop, Anastasia learned how to draw on licitar cookies and ended up eating her creations. On her trip, she also went to a hippodrom where she saw horses and learned about racing harnesses and knights. Overall, Anastasia enjoyed her trip to Slovenia where she made new friends and learned new things.

On Easter Saturday, families take baskets of painted eggs, meats, breads and other foods to be blessed at church. They have a special breakfast on Easter Sunday and meet with extended family, and on Easter Monday they celebrate by playfully pouring water on each other in keeping with an old tradition called "Wet Monday".

- 1. Dear Spanish Friends, We are very happy that we can join this multicultural project. We hope we will have good fun exchanging our emails and letters. We are Polish students from 5th and 6th grade (11-12 years old) of Primary School in Krasne Potockie. Our school is small, there are only 10 teachers and 70 students aged 5-12. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. In each class there are about 8-12 children so it is really comfortable to learn in such groups. Krasne Potockie is a small village in the south of Poland. The region where we live is surrounded by beautiful mountains, valleys, hills and rivers. We are so excited to learn new things about you and with you. So… let’s start our adventure !
