1. Hello friends from Poland,
Are you fine? What is the weather like in Poland? In here the
weather is changeable: it’s cloudy, it’s sunny and it’s raining. Do you
have snow in your village?
Do you celebrate Santa Claus or the Three wise me? In here we
celebrate Tió, Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men. What day come
Santa?
What do you do for celebrating New Year’s? In the school, do you
sing for your parents? In our school, we sang ‘It’s my life’ by Bon
Jovi in Catalan ‘Ja és Nadal’.
In Christmas Eve, we eat different dishes: chicken, prawns, bread
with tomato, Spanish omelette, chocolate bar ‘Suchard’, and
‘polvorones’ special cakes for Christmas.
At Christmas we make poo the Tió. In our school we don’t have a
Christmas tree in our classroom but a Christmas tree in the hall, this
year was made of recycling bottles.
The 28th February we will celebrate Carnival. This year Carnival is
about the parts of the day and we are the afternoon: we play football,
swim synchrony swimming and do sportive gymnastics.
In carnival we dress up with funny costumes. Three girls of our class
participate on a Carnival parade. Carnival is very funny. For
example: you go to school in pyjamas!
Do you celebrate Carnival? Now we are very busy preparing
everything for the magic day!
Talk to you soon,
5th A class.
PS: What if we do a Skype conference one day so we can know each
other by TV? It will be so great!
Good bye students of Poland
