Polish students are writing to their Spanish friends to ask about the winter holiday and weather in Spain in February. In Poland, students had winter holiday from February 1st to 16th after finishing their first term exams. While there was little snow in Poland this winter, the students were able to go skiing and sledding for two weeks in January. They are curious if Spain also has a winter holiday and what the weather is like there in February, which in Poland is more like spring with sunny and sometimes rainy conditions. The Polish students also ask if Spain celebrates Valentine's Day on February 14th and how to say "I love you" in Spanish, which is "Te amo" while in Polish it is "K
1. Hello Spanish Friends!
How are you? Thanks for your last email.
Here in Poland, from 1st to 16th February we have our
winter holiday. We finished the first term, we got our final –
term marks and we had some time to relax.
Do you have winter holiday in Spain ?
In Poland there isn’t much snow now. It usually starts
snowing in November or December in Poland, but this
winter we had snow only for two weeks of January so we
were happy to go skiing, skating, sledging and making a
snowman...
Now the weather is rather like in spring or autumn:
sunny, sometimes rainy and windy.
What is the weather like Spain in February?
Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day on 14th February in
your country? How do you say “I love you ” in Spanish? In
Polish we say “Kocham Cię”.
In our school we will
have a Valentine’s
party next week.
KISSES
from Polish
students!!!
