The students are from Madrid and attend the "Nazaret - Oporto School" in Portugal. They describe their large school as nice with good teachers and fun classes. They enjoy breaks to play outside and having lunch at school. Classes are from morning until 5pm, after which they go home. The students sit at desks in groups of 4 in their big 5th grade classroom, which has their work displayed. They also describe their home city of Madrid as the capital of Spain, a large, fun city with parks, movies, and important museums to visit.

1. Hello!
We are from Madrid and we are studying at “Nazaret – Oporto School”.
Our school is very big and very nice and we have got lots of friends here, we love our school because we
have good teachers and some funny subjects.
In the morning, we have two hours and then we go to the playground, there we can play with other
children.
Some of them play football, others play basketball and others are sitting down having a rest, after the
break we have one more hour to study and we go home, but some children eat in the school because their
parents are working. When you finish your lunch you can play in the playground, too. It´s great!!!
At 3 o’clock we came back to school again for two hours and at 5 o’clock we go home, waiting for next
day to come back to school.
We are studying in the 5th level of Primary. Our classroom is very nice and very big.
We have all our works on the wall, so if you come over you can see them, you all will love them, I’m
sure!!!!
In the class we are sitting at the desk in groups of 4, it’s very nice to work like this and we can help each
other, too. Sometimes we talk too much and the teachers get angry but we try to be good.
By the other hand, we are from Madrid so we are talking about our city.
Madrid is the capital of Spain. It’s very big, funny, cosy and lovely.
It’s a city where you can do lots of things, we have several big parks where you can ride a bike, do sport,
skates or just go for a walk, we also have lots of cinemas where you can see films in original version.
We also go to visit the museums at the weekend, sometimes you can go there for free, and we enjoy too
much when we go there.
For instance, “The Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofía” are the most important, we recommend them to you.
If you come to visit Madrid you must go around all the best buildings, they are very impressive, you need
to be in front of them to feel it.
