Presentation builds upon Negotiations 101 workshop and builds capacity by reviewing key strategies on cultural differences, four steps to efficient and effective negotiations, criteria for selecting negotiators, aspects of negotiations that can be adjusted, stages of international negotiations,
science and art of negotiations, environmental and immediate context, negotiation process and outcomes, culture as a shared value and learned behaviour, culturally responsive
negotiation strategies based on level of familiarity, and the Hofsted’s model of cultural dimensions.
Waqas uses examples from his attendance at international expos, including bi-lateral and multi-lateral military trade shows, UN conferences, and industry specific networking events.
