A workshop will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on October 26, 2019 from 10am to 11:30am to discuss healthcare options in Franklin County. The workshop will provide information on the potential closure of Weems Hospital, gather input from attendees on their healthcare needs and wants, and identify volunteers to work with county officials to improve access to comprehensive and quality local healthcare, including options for dentistry, mental health services, and care for at-risk groups. Attendees will learn about the history of the healthcare sales tax and factors affecting healthcare finances and delivery in the county.
