Project Details: (B.E)
 Project name: Design of test rig for the study of SFD and BMD forces on beams.
 Duration of project: 5 Months
 Description: It gives a clear picture about how the SFD and BMD forces develops in
beams during loading and how to interpret them in practical. This study is done for
simply supported beam, cantilever beam, fixed beam and overhanging beam. In this
study stainless steel used as a beam material and loads are varied from ½ kg to 3 kg.
The results obtained from the test is compared with ANSYS software values, they
are almost same for the same loading conditions.

3. Project Details: (M.Tech)
 Project name: A study on effect of cutting tool material on machinability of TiCp
reinforced with Al-1100 MMCs.
 Description: The effect of machining characteristics on machinability of Al-1100
reinforced TiC particulates. Al-1100 reinforced TiCp is synthesized by adding
K2TiF6 flux as a wetting agent, due to reinforced particles the hardness of the
composite material increases and it is difficult to machine. The machining operation
is done using 3 different tool materials. Using Design of Experiment (DoE)
technique Signal to Noise ratios are determined i.e., which parameter effect is more
during turning operation and also on surface property.
Industrial Training:
Undergone industrial training for a period of 45 days at HAL, HELICOPTER
DIVISION old airport road, Vimanapura Post, Bengaluru-560017, which offers complete
information about company layout, CNC machine operations and maintenance, they are
manufacturing a helicopters.
