Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northeast Vietnam known for its emerald waters and thousands of limestone islands topped with rainforests. Junk boat and sea kayak tours pass islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot Islands. Around 1,600 people live on floating houses in four fishing villages in Halong Bay, sustained through fishing and aquaculture. The region attracts visitors for scuba diving, rock climbing, and hiking in Cát Bà National Park.
