A new study found that men who began experiencing hair loss at age 20 have twice the risk of developing prostate cancer later in life. The study of 388 prostate cancer patients and 281 healthy men in France found that any balding at 20 years old, but not at 30 or 40, was associated with increased prostate cancer risk. However, the researchers said more work needs to be done to confirm the link between early hair loss and prostate cancer risk, as evidence has been conflicting so far.
