- The song “New York State of Mind” by Billy Joel is an important song to me because of its sentimental meaning to me. This song explains how I felt when I went to New York with my school. While we were there we visited the 9/11 memorial, Ellen’s Stardust Diner, Carmine’s, Broadway, Times Square, Liberty Island, and Ellis Island. Because my friends and my mother came with me, I greatly enjoyed the time I had. The whole experience was magical and this song reminds me of the great time I had. This song has a happy and positive role towards me.
