Guy Leech, an Australian athlete and fitness expert, witnessed his friend suffer sudden cardiac arrest during a kayaking session. Despite performing CPR for 10 minutes, his friend passed away after a week in the hospital. This experience led Guy to promote the importance of public access to automated external defibrillators (AEDs), believing they could potentially save lives if located more accessibly, like in vehicles or nearby beaches. He has since partnered with Physio-Control to help bring more AEDs to Australian businesses and communities.
