“FOREIGN EXCHANGE PRACTICES AND HEDGING TOOLS IN IT INDUSTRIES”
OVERVIEW OF PROJECT
Foreign Exchange transactions include substantial amount of risk due to fluctuations in
exchange rates. Hence, corporate are continuously striving to minimize their risk exposure
through the use of various hedging tools like forward contracts, options, swaps, off-balance
sheet netting etc. Foreign exchange risks also may be linked to other types of market risks such
as, interest rate risk. Interest rates and exchange rates often move simultaneously.
ACHIEVEMENTS
1. Won consecutively 3 times state level cricket tournament organized by our hostel.
Extra-Curricular Activities:
• Elected as student’s Secretary of the MAVS Boys Hostel(2011-2012).
• Organized State level Inter Hostel Sports and Cultural Meet “Zest” for 2 consecutive
years which had a turnout of about 400 students (2010-2012).
• Was the event Coordinator of the state level Inter-Hostel Sports and Cultural Meet
“ZEST 2010” held at our hostel.
• Organized Blood Donation Camp in association with Karnataka Red Cross Association for
the past two years.
