This document discusses gun control proposals in the United States. While the author acknowledges the founding fathers wanted citizens to have guns for protection, not for killing each other, they argue more gun control laws will not help as law-abiding citizens will follow laws while others will find ways around them. Additionally, requiring psychological exams could be easily faked and the Second Amendment was created to allow citizens to protect against tyranny with weapons comparable to the government's.

Gun Control Proposal
Gun control has been an issue for as long as the United States has existed. Our founding
fathers wanted people to have the right to bears arms in order to protect this country, but not to
kill each other. I don’t think more gun control will help our gun violence issue because good
people will obey the laws and bad people will always find a way around them. A physiological
examwould be more trouble than it is worth because they would be easy to fake. Also, the
second amendment was created so the people would have a way of protection over in tyranny.
We have the right to bear arms with rifles equal to what the government will have.
