GEOGRAPHICAL ASPECTS
  Guatemala is a country in Central America bordered by Mexico  to the
    north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. Its capital is
       Guatemala de la Asunción, also known as Guatemala City .




                                        
                     Its population is about 14.655.189
  The country is mountainous with small desert, Tajumulco Volcano , at
4,220 m, is the highest point in the Central American states. The rivers are
           short and shallow as the Polochic  and Dulce Rivers ,
CULTURAL ASPECTS


 Although Spanish is the official language, it is not
universally spoken among the indigenous population,
Twenty-one Mayan languages spoken, especially in
  rural areas, as well two non-Mayan Amerindian
     dialects, Xinca, an indigenous dialect, and
 Garifuna , an Arawakan spoken on the Caribbean
                         coast.

 In Guatemala 50–60% of the population is Catholic,
40% Protestant, 3% Eastern Orthodox 1% follow the
                indigenous Mayan.
Some special meals prepared in Guatemala are the tamale, chiles,
  guacamole, elotes.

Guatemala city has a lot of religious festivals as Easter week. Day
