This posting is for an on-call guard position. The guard will be responsible for [1] providing safekeeping of facilities and equipment, [2] controlling building access and performing security checks, and [3] restricting access to authorized personnel only and maintaining logs of all entries and exits. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of security experience, the ability to obtain a secret clearance, and possession of a valid driver's license. This is an on call position. We fill the position all the time. Please keep
open.
Provides safekeeping of facilities and equipment and the safeguarding of
sensitive information. Controls building access and performs physical
security checks.
Restricts access to facilities to authorized personnel. Maintains current
access roster. Maintains log of all personnel entering or leaving the facilities.
Must be capable of comprehending and implementing instructions
concerning the operation of mechanical equipment such as generators, air
conditioners, fire protection equipment, and other emergency equipment.
Will be required to perform under limited supervision utilizing instructions
developed for guidance and direction. Issues badges to cleared contractor
employees, Government employees, and to visitors who have a valid Visit
Authorization Request (VAR) on file.
Possess a valid state Driver’s License
Two year’s experience in Military or Industrial security,
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to obtain secret clearance.
