Global Tree Services is a new consultancy and services company thatdeals with the
provision of services and business advice to Chinese nationals and companies that are
operating outside theirhome country.
Global Tree Services encompasses the provision of services to Chinese companies in
a language that they are comfortable with in order to provide assured delivery on time,
fostertrust with the clients and provide any other incidentalservices using the
Chinese language as a tree (ladder) to close the existing market gap.
By focusing on particular Chinese foreign companies, we hope to be market leaders in
the provision of services to these Companies and nationals so as to make sure they
experience a unique feel of doing business at home in a foreign country.

To be the numberone company in the world in the provision of trustworthy business
services to companies ofChinese origin that are operating outside theirhome country
whilst conforming to Chinese business ethics.
MISSION STATEMENT
Global Tree services will provide its clients (Chinese Corporate entities and
individuals) with the most accurate,in depth and trustworthybusiness advice,ensure
their conformity with local laws relating to immigration,investmentadvice,company
formation and anythingelse incidentalto Chinese businesses operating outside China.
SERVICES OVERVIEW
Global Tree services offers the expertise a Chinese company needs to develop both a
new product distribution and new market segment in the African Continent.This can
be taken as retainerconsulting, market research reports or project-basedconsulting.

At inception,the company will help Chinese companies navigate the host nation’s
laws regarding the registration ofcompanies and payment/collection ofnecessary
permits to enable them to run any business that they may wish to.
i. RetainerConsulting:We represent a client company as an extension ofits’
business development and market developmentfunctions. This begins with
complete understandingofthe client company’s situation,objectives ad
constraints. We then represent the client company quietly and confidently,
sifting new market developments and new opportunities to the client. We
also represent clients in initial talks with possible allies, vendors and
channels.
ii. Project Consulting: Project consulting offers a client company a way to
harness and use our expertise to solve specific problems, develop or
implement plans and develop specific information.
iii. Market research: Group studies available to selected clients at an average of
K10, 000.00 per Unit. Group study is a packaged and published complete
study of a specific market as requested by the client.
iv. Company registrationand various business or otherpermits:These are
standard charges thatwill be applicable to a new company willing to start
operations, the services include but are not limited to company registration
(partnership, Private company limited by shares, public companies etc.),
drafting of suitable articles of association,business permits (mining licence,
engineering associationmembership etc.) and any otherdocumentation
which will be required by the company to operate legally.
v. Immigration Services: Global Tree Services, will, in association with
registered private immigration consultants, assist Chinese private citizens in
matters concerned with immigration procedures.

COMPANY OWNERSHIP
Global Tree Services is a private company limited by shares and having its registered
office within the City of Lusaka and is owned by the four principal operators. Two of
the Directors are Chinese educated and can speak the Chinese language excellently,
the other two Directors handle the documentationand research on behalf of the
clients, which information is in turn communicatedto the clients by the Chinese
speaking Directors.
CHALLENGES OF CHINESEBUSINESSES IN ZAMBIA
There have been problems and lessons learned as a result of Chinese investments in
Zambia which Global Tree services has noticed and the major ones are;
i. The poorer standards oflabour work compared to those ofwestern
companies operatingin the country,which have led to frequent workers’
strikes,
ii. The limited impact in the local economy as many services and materials are
contractedin China.
iii. The poor standards ofenvironmentalprotection.While betterpolicies and
regulations for environmentalprotection are now in place or being
developed,otherproblems deserve more attentionfrom both Chinese
investors and Zambian authorities
TYPES OF CLIENTS
Primarily, Global Tree Services targets the Chinese companies and citizens. The
services offered to these will be different.The companies are further divided into two:
1. Startup Chinese Companies: These companies mightrequire a number of
services from Global Tree Services such as market research/analysis, company

formation and otherrequirements for the company to operate legally in the
host country.
2. Existing Chinese Companies: The established Chinese companies will require
Global Tree Services to provide a number of services for them which include
but are not limited to further market research in case of a company
diversifying,translation of documents and reports, compile date and manage
projects on their behalf.
3. Chinese Citizens: Global Tree Services will provide this client with necessary
personalservice, i.e. immigration document application/renewal,assist in all
otherinstances which the clients might require help with such as rent or
purchase of property,hiring of a car etc.
