Editor's Notes
- Play as three different characters, Franklin (with Chop the dog), Trevor the psycho and Michael the family man. Three separate stories for each character, all intertwined into a huge epic story. Each character has an infinite hunger to become rich as well as a ridiculous hunger for action packed mayhem, play as all three characters and discover the fate that brings them all together in an action packed legendary story line.
- Play as all three main characters, each working together to plot and execute a large series of dangerous heists. Along side the main storyline, all characters have their own storyline about their very own lifestyles and the strengths and weaknesses they must overcome.
- Each character has a special ability that can be triggered to use to the players advantage, Michael can trigger slow-motion mode where time slows down and the player can effectively choose their shots while shooting. Franklin can focus whilst driving so the player is capable of taking the sharpest turns at full speed or even dodging a tank at high speed, Trevor can trigger the effect of “going psycho”, where Trevor takes less damage and dishes out extreme damage in combat.
- Whilst playing as either of the three characters, the other two characters will continue living their lives on a day to day basis as in the real world. The player can switch to any of the three characters at any one time in game and will most likely be greeted with an amusing situation. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, the character stats menu for each character shows Trevor is a better pilot, Franklin is the best driver and Michael is the more skilled shooter and infiltrator.
- Each character aspires to become rich in the twisted city of Los Santos and the game has numerous ways of making money. Along side the story line, the player can buy and sell stocks, attempt multiple side missions specific to each character and even partake in robberies or boosting vehicles to make some quick cash.
- The brand new map of Los Santos and Blaine county is huge, it is approximately 100 square miles and Los Santos alone is 21 square miles. The map is packed with fun activities and amusing Easter eggs for every player to discover. There are plenty of random encounters and misc. objectives players will come across and can decide whether to complete in free roam, from all over the huge map in game.
- There is a massive variety of activities the player can take part in whilst in free roam, from vehicle races, parachuting and base jumping to deep sea diving the list is endless. Specific side missions have been created for each character that fit the story line well, choose Trevor and interact with famous rampages, switch to Franklin and take part in high speed street races or swap to Michael and save his wife from getting arrested whilst shop lifting.
- New and improved gameplay brought to GTA, with an intuitive, easy to use and easy to master control scheme for all round increasingly fun gameplay. Realistic combat situations where the player must stay in cover and pick their shots to stay alive, move at the correct time to avoid getting shot and plan the route of attack. Players are encouraged to use their own initiative to gain an advantage in every combat situation, adding more realism to the game.
- Realistic visuals and graphics in a gorgeous environment. Brand new soundtrack which is regularly updated, issued via online updates. There is a radio station for every genre of music and every mood of a human being.
- Introducing new first person view on PS4, Xbox 1 and PC. Players can choose to play through the entire game in first person view or trigger specific times to play in first person view as well as third person view.
- The ultimate online multiplayer experience, GTA Online introduces a unique and personal player specific character creation system. Choose how your character looks and acts and pick and choose your character’s own unique stats and lifestyle.

Make a name for you and your friends with your very own crew gamer tag, create a team logo and specific level unlocks and challenges just for your online army.
- Rockstar games regularly host weekend events where players who take part in the weekend event playlist can earn double experience points and cash. Take part in the weekend event playlist which include, team based races, death matches, last man standing, capture the flag and more team based modes online.

New mini games added in the Free Mode Events Update, players will have the chance to compete in mini games in free roam mode and have the chance to earn big money so long as they win. Games include the upside down flight challenge where players must fly upside down for as long as possible in order to win the game, the attack helicopter challenge where players must destroy as many enemies as possible relentlessly in an attack helicopter and many more. The Executives and Other Criminals Update gives players the chance to become a VIP and enlist friends as bodyguards to defend them against other crews and groups of rivals. Players have the chance to buy a super yacht and customise it as they wish, players who are body guards will have the possibility to get paid for keeping their VIP alive.

Team up and play many unique and competitive mini games against others teams of players worldwide in Adversary Mode. Have fun with your friends and prove you’re the best by taking part in unique games and matches, issued in the new adversary mode games that are frequently updated all the time. Introducing Running Back, players must stop the opposing team’s special car from crossing their line by pushing the cars back and blocking them from achieving the end goal. Come Out To Play sets one player as a fugitive and they will have to make it to the safe zone with only a weak weapon equipped, the other players will have to hunt the player down with much more powerful weapons and stop them from reaching the safe zone. In Hasta La Vista, two players will be cycling to reach an end goal whilst the other two players will be relentlessly chasing them down and attempting to knock them off their bicycles as they recklessly drive gigantic articulated trucks much like the scene from Terminator 2.
