Growth Opportunities in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering By ATOA Scientific Technologies, Multiphysics CAE simulation solution provider, Future of Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering
During the 9th “International Advanced Battery Power Conference” Klaus Eberhardt, Technology
Manager Battery and PV, ATF, presented our focus on cost-effective Li-Ion battery factories. The
conference took place from April 10-11, 2018 in Münster/Germany.
The expected growth in the battery industry will require numerous new factories around the globe. There is a clear trend that the battery manufacturing follows the automotive manufacturing: Closer to the customer, regulative requirements and safety aspects are the key drivers. Adequate sized battery manufacturing facilities are the prerequisite for achieving the required cost target of 100 $/kWh for the battery cells.
In his presentation, Mr. Eberhardt discussed cost reduction
potentials for the factory through scaling effects as well as smart
building concepts.
The role of engineering providers in successful industrialization of bio base...M+W Group
There are several examples of uses for a range of biologically-based products that are currently being developed. Even though crude oil has historically been used as a raw
material in numerous everyday objects, renewable raw materials can now provide an alternative to crude-oil-based industrial production thanks to industrial biotechnology. M+W Central Europe GmbH's Specialty Chemicals Unit supports such initiatives and projects
through feasibility studies, plant and process simulations, de-bottlenecking measures and other
engineering services, such as technology transfer and operationalization.
Engineering service providers play an important role in the successful industrialization of biobased
products. Dr. Anton Volkov, Lead Process Engineer for Industrial Biotechnology, held a talk on this subject, titled, "The Role of Engineering Providers in Successful Industrialization of
Bio-Based Products" where he examined how process innovation and technology can help manufacturing sustainable and cost competitive bio-based and green innovations.

Surface Ventures: What Exponential Growth of Technology means for Tribolog...Tomasz Liskiewicz
Knowledge grows exponentially. The more we know, the greater our ability to learn and the faster we expand our knowledge base. The growth of knowledge fuels the growth of technology, with each new scientific discovery becoming a tool with which novel technologies are invented. It might be difficult to appreciate and accept the fact of exponential growth, as human perception is linear. Our brains have linear expectations, because that has always been the case. However, it has been postulated, that we are currently “on the knee” of the exponential growth of technology curve. As a result, technology progresses so fast, that the past no longer looks like the present, and the present is nowhere near how the future will look like. Materials science will play a key role in enabling future technologies, and we are in the midst of a materials science revolution that will impact every industry. Today, materials scientists are engineering smart, novel materials and functional surfaces with advanced properties well beyond state-of-the-art. Novel materials mean breakthrough opportunities in medicine, energy generation, transportation, consumer electronics, and high value manufacturing. This perspective talk discusses the current opportunities and future challenges for the protective and tribological coatings in the context of exponential growth of technology.

Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

EXPONENTIAL GROWTH
An analysis of the history of technology shows that technological change is exponential,
contrary to the common-sense “intuitive linear” view.
The exponential function: C is the initial amount. t is the time period.
(1 + r) is the growth factor, r is the growth rate.
y = C (1 + r) t

Functionalized Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering
We have established methods to build 3D scaffolds in a manner that enables us to synthesize
designs which include functions within the 3D scaffold at all length scales from macro to nano:
Advanced functionalization is needed if a scaffold is to succeed with correct tissue regeneration. Regenerated tissue must
include inherent functions realized in native tissue. Thus, an integrated design approach is needed.

FOCUSING ON A SINGLE CELL
Peter Kristensen is able to find the few
cancer cells between billions of healthy
cells in a blood sample
The key is a small chip that is able to bind the
cancer cells on its surface using antibodies
Through selection (image processing) that single cell of interest is
identified and the surroundings are destroyed with UV light
Access to single cells will enhance our understanding of disease
progression and how cell functions and interact

ROBOTIC SINGLE-CELL HANDLING
Xuping Zhang builds a robot
that works within a microscope
With it, he can handle cells:
pick-and-place, positioning,
rotating, sorting, patterning,
identification, inspection,
isolation, injection, etc.
Specifically he works on an intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) system.

Morning – thank you for taking your time to show up.
My opportunity to let you know about a recent perspective on Technology and let become a bit more familiar with My Department of Engineering
I have taken the liberty to alter the language into English
We came to this organisation from international standards (Body of Knowledge) on how the Engineering Disciplines is established through history
It is combined with the fact coming from that it is people in our organisation who actually do the science.
The current computational power
The computational power to come
Passing the computational power of the brain in a mouse 2020 and humans some 2050 ?
Picture of the Intel Pentium chip
Can we continue to improve on this kind of technology, the densification of transistors?
We agree on that the computational power in computers will continue to grow as predicted.
And it will transcent the capability of the human brain to do calculations
Intel has rather impressively crammed in a quad-core Atom CPU, 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM, along with a USB port, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 support and a mini-USB connector for power. It runs Windows 8.1.
What runs the in the computer is code, software. The smartness comes from the algorithms – the code.
The enabling step in building smart / intelligent products is profound integration of hardware and software.

Driverless cars to create 320,000 UK jobs and save 2,500 lives Britain will get huge economic boost from driverless cars which will also cut death toll on roads, new report predict.
Why don’t we see this AUDI on the streets? Because technology is being brought to marked along with comsumer adaptation and willingness to pay for features.
Self driving cars tend to make pasengers sick (12%)
One of the most complex systems that we know of is our brain.
Accumulating information on Energy comsumption and guide consumers in their behaviour.
we create a better balance between our electricity consumption and our electricity production from renewable energy sources.”
Live translation and live information support will change negotiations, lower barriers and improve conflict handling.
The transition towards hybrid thinking starts with the Google Glass and Apple Watch and once these technologies is combined with our knowledge on Medical Devices we will get to the hybrid thinking as presented here.
It will be great as a scientist in 2040 when my brain together with my exponential growing non-biological cloud brain crack problems.

Here in Europe we do the same; we call it something else less coordinated, but the X-Ray facility in Lund is one example.

This is an example on how Materials Engineering and System Integration lead to innovation.
The continued miniturization provide improved sensors in our microscopes letting us see smaller details leading to improved processing – its an evolution

His chip works according to a simple principle. It contains a canal with fluid through which the patient’s blood is injected. There are special antibodies on the inner surface of the canal that are able to capture the cancer cells in the sample.
Cells are like Robots. From the Genome they are program using DNA. During the process of decoding DNA in actions, that the cell take, it splises the DNA into RNA as a natural process.
You can take advantage of this proces and deliver RNA directly into the cell using nanoparticles and program it.

Not only as miniturization as shown here
But also with increase in system integration (complexity)
