The MNIB was established in 1973 as a State
Trading Enterprise engaged in the marketing and
trading of agricultural products. MNIB’s Mandate
as enshrined in the Act establishing the Board (Act
40 1973 as amended) ….. is to Market Produce of
Grenada not already marketed under any other
statutory authority …. And or matters connected
therewith. In 1979 its mandate was expanded to
include the import and distribution of “Specified
Imports”.
