2. Abstract
Green Living Apps is made for the android mobile devices. The content of the apps
consists of a selective guidelines to teach the user how to live green. It is basically a notebook
transformed into an interactive phone apps. There are a lot of ways to retain information
such as the newspapers, television, internet and mobile phones has recently became a tool
to retrieve information. The idea behind this project is to deliver information to the user in
the form of entertainment. Instead of reading a long text, the information is delivered in the
form of motion graphics and infographics.
The apps is not a game, it is an interactive motion graphic apps. In the main menu, the
user has 5 choices which is; solar panel, lighting, kitchen appliances, air conditioning and
television. When the user chose one of the items, the user will be directed into the
information page. The information of the chosen item will be displayed to the user. After
that, the user has the options to go back and chose another item or the user can go to the
comparison page. For example, the user chose to compare the fluorescent light bulb and
incandescent bulb. The user will pick one of the light bulb and the user will be directed to the
infographics page. Instead of a static picture, all of the images inside the infographics page
will be animated, the user can also compare both side to side and the user can go back to the
main menu.
3. Introduction
We live in an urban environment, almost each person has a mobile phone. A
mobile phone is essential to us because it is used for communication and the
emergence of various applications to keep track of our daily activities. I created a
mobile application for the android users. It is an interactive infographics
application.
The aim of creating this project is to educate people about the products that
they use give positive or negative impacts to the environment. The aim is also to
educate people on how to live a greener lifestyle.
