Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone is US first National Park. It is also the world’s oldest. The park was created in 1872. Today National Parks are established for purpose of conservation. These are designated areas of natural beauty, an island in a developing world.
Today, Yellowstone National Park is probably the best known in the world and easily accessible. Wildlife abounds from the smallest to the largest mammals found in North America. The wolf, here, is a recovery story that is a major restoration of the balance of nature. There large herd of bison roaming in park, following their migration routes. Black and brown bears are frequently seen here. The park lies in the heart of the the Rocky Mountain Range. Here, powerful volcanic forces erupted 2 million, 1.3 million and as recently as 640,000 years ago, to create three of the world’s largest volcanic depressions, or calderas.
Native Americans have lived in the region for at least 11,000 years. Today with large number of visitors, the management and control of the park is vital to ensure its long term future.

Mormon Rocks was formed by the folding of rock along the San Andreas Fault between the North American and Pacific tectonic plates. - 1. This is the Bigar Cascade Falls in Carass Severin, Romania at the 45th parallel. The dramatic moss-covered falls are situated in the forests of the Anina Mountains and are formed by an underground water spring that spills into the Minis River.
- 2. A group of Rainbow Eucalyptus trees spotted just off the Hana Highway in east Maui. Commonly known as the Rainbow Eucalyptus, the Mindanao Gum, or the Rainbow Gum, it is the only Eucalyptus species found naturally in the Northern Hemisphere. The unique multi-hued bark is the most distinctive feature of the tree. Patches of outer bark are shed annually at different times, showing a bright green inner bark. This then darkens and matures to give blue, purple, orange and then maroon tones.
- 3. A beautiful capture of Great Escape Road in Wilsall, Montana.
- 4. An eruption on lo as Jupiter nears. This montage of images of Jupiter and its volcanic moon Io, was taken by the New Horizons spacecraft’s flyby. The Jupiter image is an infrared color composite taken by the spacecrafts near-infrared imaging spectrometer on Feb. 28, 2007.
- 5. Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in India and the grandest in the state of Rajasthan. The fort, plainly known as Chittor, was the capital of Mewar and is situated several kilometres by road south of Bhilwara.
- 6. This stunning rock formation is located at Iguazu Falls. This particular view can be seen from the lookout on San Martin Island on the Argentinian side of the falls.

- 8. SkÃgafoss is a waterfall situated in the south of Iceland at the cliffs of the former coastline. The coastline has now receded and it is now at a distance of about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) from SkÃgar.
- 9. In this incredible picture, we look down the jaw- dropping Dragon Falls in Venezuela. Known locally as Churun Meru, it is about 10 km south of Angel Falls in the same valley.
- 10. The Ninety Mile Beach is a sandy stretch of south- eastern coastline of Victoria, Australia along the Gippsland Lakes region of East Gippsland on Bass Strait. The beach is just over 151 kilometres (94 MI) long running north-eastward
