GRANT#______________
In efforts to promote our school’s initiative to become a Leader in Me School, I would like to provide some books promoting
various character education traits. Our school’s motto is GROW. Genius is in everyone, Responsibility is key to learning, Own
your actions and your attitude, Work together for good. At a previous media specialist PLC, we had Hillary Zeigler come and
speak to us about Usborne Books. This company has a series of books that promotes various character traits. Upon previewing
various books that this company has to offer, I found several that promote our motto. There are books about how to handle
your feelings (both good and bad feelings), books about working with others, and books about making choices. This company
will also match any Grant funding awarded. The books that would be purchased will be available for students to check out as
well as teachers. These books could also be used by the media specialist during collaborative lessons in the learning commons
to foster our efforts to promote good character in our students.
