The Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo is a human rights organization that aims to locate children who were stolen from their families during Argentina's Dirty War between 1976-1983. They have helped locate 56 children, though 7 had died. Through their work, genetic testing was developed that allowed 31 children to be returned to their biological families. Their ongoing efforts continue to reunite missing children with relatives, despite legal battles that sometimes occur.
