knowledge.
It involves observation followed by
the experimentations.
Science As a product and a Process
Science is an ongoing process of
investigating and thinking.
It is a way of thinking which involves
reasoning
It is away of investigating which involves
questions, observations,
experimentations and predictions.

SUPERSTITIONS
 Are belief which are not usually explained by
the methods of natural sciences.
 It began from curiosity and observation but,
unlike science no experiment was conducted
to test whether the claims are correct or not.
BRANCHES OF SCIENCE
 SOCIAL SCIENCE – focuses
primarily on the study of
people, culture and societies.
it includes the following:
1. Economics
2. Geography
3. History
4. Law
5. Education
6. Sociology
7. Psychology
Natural Science- seek to understand the
natural world and its different processes.
 Physics- deals with matter
 Chemistry- deals with matter and its composition, structure and properties
 Earth Science- The study of earth and its composition
 Biological Science- involves in the study of living things.
