ANGLE
MEASUREMENT
OBJECTIVES:
1.Identify the parts of an angle;
2.Illustrate the different kinds of angle:
acute, right and obtuse; and
3.Determine the measure an angle
using a protractor.
• The measure of an angle is the smallest amount of rotation
about the vertex from one ray to the other.
• DEGREE(°) is the unit of measure of an angle and the tool
used to measure a given angle is PROTRACTOR.

The measure of ABC is 40.
It can be written as:
• To measure an angle or to find the number of degrees in an
angle, we must follow these steps:
ANGLE MEASUREMENT
Step 1: Place the center of the protractor of the vertex of
the angle.
Step 2. Place the straight edge of the protractor along
one side of the angle.
Step 3. The other side of the angle needs to cross the
numbered part of the protractor.
Step 4: The size of the angle can be read of the scale.
