Bono, lead singer of U2 wrote "All physical laws would suggest that for every action there is or ought to be an equal and opposite reaction; an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. What you put out there, you get back. Grace turns that all on its head and when it is put in motion its power is unmatched." This session of CHOW explores various definitions of Grace and whether any of them have the unmatched power to have relevance in South Africa's townships. Other than Bono, ideas will be explored from the French philosopher Simone Weil, Aristotle's theory of opposites and encounters from a recent sabbatical in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
