Georgia Ports Authority has saved more than 6,850,428 gallons of diesel fuel per year by
employing a combination of technology and engine conversion. Technology advances have
expedited cargo and made tracking streamlined and efficient. At every stage, cargo is kept
moving using the least possible energy in the process. Converting cranes from diesel to
electric power has saved more than 1.9 million gallons of fuel per year alone.
