Co-hosted by East Bay Clean Cities and CALSTART, the event gathered representatives from area airports to discuss clean fleet technologies and funding.

  10. 10. Air Quality and Climate – Alternative Fuel • OAK’s Alternative Fuel Program for Ground Transportation requires 50% of taxicabs, shuttles, vans and buses to use alternative fuels
  11. 11. Air Quality and Climate – Alternative Fuel • Compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station opened on OAK’s North Field in 2002 • Station dispensed 355,245 GGE in 2012 • CNG vehicles emit less greenhouse gases
  12. 12. Air Quality and Climate – Alternative Fuel • Grant funds from BAAQMD helped the Port buy 5 new CNG AirBART buses
  13. 13. Air Quality and Climate – Alternative Fuel • OAK has equipped 19 customer parking stalls with new generation electric vehicle (EV) chargers. • EV chargers are also now available to employees.
