Marc Flores: CDSC raced in and partook athletics meet of 100m, 200m, and 400m. He
succeeds at seizing the 3rd place for the 200m (24.02s), 3rd place first-round 100m (12.31s),
and 6th place for the 400m track. At Holy Garden Memorial Park, Angono Rizal, August 7, 2019.
Marc Flores of CDSC takes on and challenged himself as the representative of Colegio de
San Clemente for the Athletics track of 100m,200m, and 400m. despite his shortcomings, of
being the only player for the Athletics Track. And challenged 3 tracks. 100m Marc Flores rushed
as fast as he could and attains the 3rd place from the first round of 100m sprint. 200m Marc 3rd
place out of 4 players. 400m 6th place out of 7 players. Marc worked well-bringing honor to
CDSC after 15 years or so of isolation in joining the APPSAA.
"I guess all I can say is I need more practice. I am against players who practiced or
started to train earlier than me and some partook in athletics last year so they didn't feel the
pressure I was feeling. The problem I had was a nervousness which is normal for first-time
competitors like me. I was afraid of slipping, losing, getting injured and many other repugnant
things. I guess worrisome just gives you much more nervousness. should've been positive and
just believed in what I can do. Though I lost, I gained experience and had fun which is the most
important thing" Marc Flores stated at his interview after his game, August 7.
7:20 am, early morning humid weather all delegates varying from different schools are
gathered in one place at Holy Garden Memorials, Angono Rizal to compete for the athletics
event of APPSAA. 1st game was the 100m sprint, next is the 200m sprint, 800m, 1500m relay,
and the 400m run. CDSC representative Marc Flores only participates for the 100m,200m, and
the 400. Due to the lack of participants from CDSC. First-round,100m Flores rushed and toe to
toed with his opponents until he was crossed in the middle by his competitors and seized 3rd
place. Second-round,200m from the 4 players he got the 3rd. lastly, 400m he attained 6th place
out of 7 because of exhaustion.
400m race Marc Flores reached the 6th place out of seven. He told his story that at the
origin he paced his speed edging at 3rd place leaving behind the other 4 competitors, he
endured until the mid-lap keeping his pace. But then Marc Flores' struggles at the last-lap
experiencing heartburn and muscle cramps at his lower leg due to exhaustion. Marc lost his
speed descending the places from 3rd to 6th one by one. Marc Flores achieved 6th place. He
also commented that after his last track he felt dizziness, headache, and temporal paralysis by
over-fatigue after joining each track with short intervals.
At the 200m race, Marc Flores achieved 3rd place out of 4 players (24.02s). After a few
mins of the interval, 200m starts immediately It is much farther as another 100m is added.
Marc Flores Sprinted as the cue starts. 200m Marc Flores edges with his other opponents using
all his strength. As players reached the finished line 1st place is for ANHS, 2nd place Vivencia,
3rd place CDSC and 4th place Botong. At this point, Marc Flores said he is indeed tired and is
selecting whether or not will he continue.
100m Sprint track, CDSC champ Marc Flores attained 3rd place in the first round (12.31).
Flores rushed with the enemies bordering them face to face racing with his energy. Marc is still
placed 3rd and exceeded by his opponents. Athletes reached the finish line CDSC first round 3rd
place.
As a one-man army, Marc Flores CDSC champ has brought great honor to the school. For
being able to perform Best!. Despite his shortcomings, Marc Flores never lost hope and even
said that "Though I lost, I gained experience and had fun which is the most important thing".
Marc Flores is now fired up and is looking for new athletic competitions to be offered by the
school.
