3. Aleksandr Sergeevich
Pushkin (on June, 6th 1799,
Moscow — on February, 10th
1837, St.-Petersburg) — the
Russian poet, the playwright
and the prose writer, the
reformer of Russian literary
language. We admire Pushkin.
He is recognized as the
greatest Russian poet, his
works are considered as the
reference sample of Russian
literary language. During his
lifetime he was called the
genius.

4. Aleksandr Vasilyevich Suvorov
(1729-1800). His name became
legendary during his life. He
became famous as an unsurpassed
tactician and strategist, as a creator
of own school of art of war and
military education. He created his
“Science to win” and wan a lot of
battles. Suvorov became the
property of our history and thankful
memory of Russian folk.

5. Excellent master-landscape-painter,
A. M. Vasnetzov ( 1856-1933) became
famous as a connoisseur and
inspired poet of old Moscow. Rarely
whoever, once seeing, will not
memorize his pictures, water-
colours, pictures, recreating
perturbing fairy-tale and at the same
time so convincingly the real
appearance of ancient Russian the
capital.

6. We admire Ilya Repin as the higher
achievements of Russian realistic
painting of a XIX century are
connected with him. He had
outstanding talent. Repin occupies
one of foregrounds in the history not
only Russian, but also the European
painting. His pictures are the whole
worlds which have endured their
founder and leading independent life,
in a fit of temper and minds of
millions.

7. Victor Tzoy (1962-1990). We
love and respect Victor Tzoy
because he sang and wrote
good songs. He acted in the
film "Igla".People loved him,
in fact his concerts collected
the whole stadiums of
admirers.He will remain in our
memory for a long time!

8. Anastasiya Zavorotnyuk (on
April, 3 1971)became famous
after the main role of the nurse in
the serial “My beautiful nurse”.
Anastasiya Zavorotnyuk is an
actress of theater and cinema for
almost 15 years. Nastya acted
more than in 8 films and played
the countless amount of roles in
the theater.

9. Andrej Arshavin (on May, 29th
1981, Leningrad) — the Russian
football player, the deserved
master of sports of Russia (2008).
He played in the positions of the
second attacking, playmaker,
attacking halfback. He became one
of the basic players of the national
Russian team. We are proud of him.
Henine years played successfully
for St.-Petersburg "Zenit". Since
February, 2009 he is the player of
London "Arsenal".

11. Nikolay Rubtzov was born in
Vologda Region in 1936.He
is a famous Russian poet.A
lot of his poems became
songs. He wrote about his
life, about the nature of his
Motherland.

12. We are proud of Vladimir Korbakov, one
of the brightest painters of Vologda. He
has reflected many essential lines of
stylistics of domestic painting of second
half of the XX century in his works.
Almost half a century his art is in the
centre of attention of colleagues-artists,
experts, fans and collectors of painting.
Products of the artist since 1956 are
constantly exhibited at the big and small
art exhibitions of Russia and abroad.
The pictures of Korbakov leave nobody
indifferent. People speak about them,
argue, write the artist praise and
criticize.

13. Amalia Goldanskaya is an actress and
the radio leader, the constant author
and the leader of the program «Kind
hunting!» On Echo of Moscow. She
finished theatrical school of. V.Schukin.
In 1995-1998 she worked at the theatre
"Lencom", later she passed to the
Moscow theatre of Mayakovsky. She
played in different films: “Road to
paradise”, “Hunting for the
Cinderella”.She has played some
leading roles in serials. We are proud
that for theatrical works Amalia is
awarded by «Crystal Turandot».

14. We respect our basketball team “Chevakata”. Since 1998 it plays to
the Super league, showing stable results and it is the most known
team from Vologda. The higher achievement — the third place in the
Championship of Russia in a season of 2000-2001. Since 1999 the
command takes part in Euro cups in national superiority one of the
best results for all history of the club are shown: 5 place in the
Super league Championship, 4 place in the Championship of
Russia; an exit in quarterfinals of draws of the Cup of Russia and
the FIBA-EUROPAS Cup.
