Many of us are not yet aware of the capabilities of Google+. This presentation gives a beginners overview of the key features of Google+ including profiles, circles, communities, photos and hangouts.
Google+ is a social network like Facebook but also aims to integrate more with business tools and services. It features Circles for organizing contacts, Hangouts for video/voice chat, and other sharing tools like Sparks, Ripples, and Instant Upload. Google+ focuses on privacy through Circles and also offers creative tools, events, and the ability to export user data.
The document discusses Google's Author Rank system and how it is integrated with Google+. Author Rank sits at the heart of recent changes to Google's search algorithm. It allows content to be linked to a Google+ profile, adding an "author tag" that provides signals to Google about the trust and authority of that content. This gives brands and publishers an opportunity to drive owned and social content higher in natural search results by building relationships with audiences on Google+ pages and profiles.
Google+ allows marketers to organize contacts into circles, share photos and videos, participate in hangouts and games, and find trending topics. The document provides 10 things marketers should do on Google+ including crafting an eye-catching profile, using circles to segment audiences, sharing insightful images and facts, becoming a thought leader in less competitive spaces, and using unique features to engage audiences in new ways. It also encourages marketers to get experience with hangouts by participating in them.
The AEGIS Consortium newsletter provides an overview of the AEGIS project's activities, including user research to understand accessibility needs and initial prototype testing. Ten prototypes focused on desktop, web, and mobile accessibility will undergo pilot testing with users across multiple countries to evaluate the prototypes and identify areas for improvement. The results will help developers optimize the prototypes for a second round of testing planned for later in the project.
With extra nuts and bolts, you can create industrial art. The document suggests using unused parts to make artistic creations. It encourages the reader to be inspired by what they can do with spare hardware parts.
Presentation given to the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce on June 17, 2015.
Topics include:
* What is Social Media Marketing?
* Creating a Social Media Marketing Plan.
* Getting the most out of your efforts.

Essentials of Automations: Exploring Attributes & Automation ParametersSafe Software
Building automations in FME Flow can save time, money, and help businesses scale by eliminating data silos and providing data to stakeholders in real-time. One essential component to orchestrating complex automations is the use of attributes & automation parameters (both formerly known as “keys”). In fact, it’s unlikely you’ll ever build an Automation without using these components, but what exactly are they?
Attributes & automation parameters enable the automation author to pass data values from one automation component to the next. During this webinar, our FME Flow Specialists will cover leveraging the three types of these output attributes & parameters in FME Flow: Event, Custom, and Automation. As a bonus, they’ll also be making use of the Split-Merge Block functionality.
You’ll leave this webinar with a better understanding of how to maximize the potential of automations by making use of attributes & automation parameters, with the ultimate goal of setting your enterprise integration workflows up on autopilot.
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.

How information systems are built or acquired puts information, which is what they should be about, in a secondary place. Our language adapted accordingly, and we no longer talk about information systems but applications. Applications evolved in a way to break data into diverse fragments, tightly coupled with applications and expensive to integrate. The result is technical debt, which is re-paid by taking even bigger "loans", resulting in an ever-increasing technical debt. Software engineering and procurement practices work in sync with market forces to maintain this trend. This talk demonstrates how natural this situation is. The question is: can something be done to reverse the trend?

2. Google+ History
A Little History
June 28, 2011 - launched as an invitation-only "field test"
August 6, 2011 - each Google+ member had 150 invitations to give out
September 20, 2011 - opened to everyone 18 years of age or older
without the need for an invitation
January 26, 2012 - was opened for a younger age group
(13 years or older in US and most countries, 14 or older in South Korea
and Spain, 16 or older in the Netherlands)
3. Google+ History
A Little History
Fourth try at creating a social media site.
Previous tries:
1. Google Buzz (launched 2010, retired in 2011)
2. Google Friend Connect
(launched 2008, retired by March 1, 2012)
3. Orkut (launched in 2004, as of 2013 operated entirely by
subsidiary Google Brazil)
6. google+ profiles
Do follow profile links
Consider this: at SEOmoz you must
earn 200 Mozpoints before
earning a followed profile link
(submit good comments!)
On the other hand, Google+ not only
allows you to link to your other
profiles across the web, but you
can embed followed links directly
into your bio with the anchor text
of your choice.
If you can raise your visibility by
getting more people to engage
with you, share your posts, or
link directly to your profile, the
more valuable your profile links
become.

11. google+ circles
How Circles are organized
Google+ is a social network of your
friends, family and other contacts, a
way to connect to these people,
just like Facebook.
Unlike Facebook, Google+ is built
from the ground up around the
concept of sharing material with
groups of people, called “Circles.”
12. google+ circles
How Circles are organized
The idea is that you can easily drag-
and-drop people into different
types of Circles, which you can
then use for sharing different types
of information.
For example, you can create a “Family”
circle where you might chose to
share things only with family
members in it, while another
“Work” circle might contain work
colleagues who only see what you
share to that.
