Key Memory Verse:
Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority
in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them
to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the
age.”

READ: THE GREAT COMMISSION (Matt.28: 16-20)
BACKGROUND: 40 days had passed since the
resurrection. Jesus met his disciples for the last time and
revealed his will to them. He wanted Christians to
remember his last words as long as they lived.
Discuss how “all”, “everything,” and “always”, in the
text point to our God-given mission?
How can you look for more opportunities to be
involved in evangelism?
What are some major drawbacks you have regarding
evangelism?
How does the lack of evangelism among members of
the church cause unhealthy spiritual dysfunction in a
congregation?
How many of you became a Christian by someone
taking the time to talk to you about Jesus?
Describe how we encourage discipleship over mere
conversion?
Describe why Jesus is truly the answer for the
brokenness in our world, marriages, and relationships.
Why is the Life Group or the home with Christians
often times a better setting for connecting with God
and each other than sitting in an auditorium?
Explain how sometimes church can get in the way of a
person finding Jesus.
Prayer is an important part of evangelism- opening up
doors of opportunities and leading you to people
seeking after God. How much of your prayers are
devoted to specifically asking God to use you to lead
others to Jesus Christ?
