Goldilocksandthe Three Dinos 1 of 4
Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs
Adapted from book by Mo Willems
Cast: Narrator, Goldilocks, Papa Dino, Mama Dino, Norwegian Dino
Narrator: Once upon a time, there were three Dinosaurs: Paper
Dinosaur, Mama Dinosaur, and some other Dinosaur who happened
to be visiting from Norway.
One day for no particular reason, the three Dinosaurs made up their
beds, positioned their chairs just so, and cooked three bowls of
delicious chocolate pudding at various temperatures.
Papa Dinosaur: OH BOY! IT IS FINALLY TIME TO LEAVE AND GO
TO THE…. uhhh…. SOMEPLACE ELSE!
Mama Dinosaur: Yes! I sure hope no innocent little succulent child
happens by our unlocked home while we are….uhh….someplace
else!
Narrator: Then the other Dinosaur made a loud noise that sounded
like a big, evil laugh but was probably just a polite Norwegian
expression.
Norwegian Dinosaur: Har, har, har! Horjfsk!
Narrator: The three dinosaurs went someplace else and were
definitely not hiding in the woods waiting for an unsuspecting kid to
come by. Sure enough, five minutes later a poorly supervised little girl
named Goldilocks came traipsing along.
Goldilocks: La la la la la. I wonder if there are any houses nearby?

Narrator: Just then the forest boomed with what could have been a
Dinosaur yelling
Papa Dinosaur: GOTCHA!
Narrator: but I’m pretty sure it was just the wind. That loud noise was
immediately followed by another loud noise that sounded kind of like
Mama Dinosaur: Be patient, Papa Dinosaur! The trap is not yet
sprung!
Narrator: But that could have been a rock falling. And the last strange
sounds
Norwegian Dinosaur: HAR HAR HAR!
Narrator: were certainly just a squirrel. Either way, Goldilocks was not
the type of little girl who listened to anyone or anything. So, as soon
as Goldilocks came upon a strange, enormous house, she barged
right in.
Goldilocks: This looks like a great place to rest! Mmmmmmm. This
place smells like chocolate pudding. But how can I possibly get up to
the top of that counter? It is five times as tall as me!
Narrator: Then Goldilocks noticed a very tall ladder that just
happened to be there and certainly wasn’t left on purpose. Goldilocks
climbed the ladder and found herself face-to-face with three gigantic
bowls of chocolate pudding.

Goldilocks: AHHHHH!!!! This bowl is way too hot! But who cares?
CHOCOLATE PUDDING!! (eating noises)
Narrator: The second bowl was too cold, but who cares about
temperature when you’ve got chocolate pudding?
Goldilocks: SO GOOD. (more eating noises)
Narrator: The third bowl of chocolate pudding was just right, but
Goldilocks hardly noticed. Soon, Goldilocks was stuffed like one of
those delicious chocolate-filled-little-girl-bonbons, which are definitely
not the favorite thing for hungry dinosaurs. She climbed down the
ladder and left the kitchen. She found three chairs.
Goldilocks: This chair is too tall. This chair is also too tall! There has
to be another chair…but this one is TOO TALL TOO!
Narrator: Goldilocks wasn’t going to climb that high just to sit in some
chair, so she hiked over to the bedroom. When she got there, she
noticed that the beds were also gigantically big.
Goldilocks: What is going on around here? The bears that live here
must be nuts!
Narrator: Just then, the room filled with a loud, booming noise that
was either a passing truck or a dinosaur gloating.
Papa Dinosaur: A FEW MORE MINUTES AND SHE WILL BE
ASLEEP!
Mama Dinosaur: Chocolate-filled-little-girl-bonbons are yummier
when they’re rested!
Goldilocksandthe Three Dinos 4 of 4
Norwegian Dinosaur: HAR HAR HAR!!!
Narrator: Even a little girl who never listens to anyone or anything had
to hear that. Goldilocks took a minute to stop and think, which was
longer than she was used to stopping and thinking.
Goldilocks: Hey….This isn’t some bear’s house. This is some
DINOSAUR’S house!
Narrator: Say what you like about Goldilocks, but she was no fool. As
quickly as she could, she ran to the back door and got out of there!
Papa Dinosaur: NOW!!
Mama Dinosaur: CHARGE!!
Norwegian Dinosaur: Har, har, har! Horjfsk!
Narrator: Completely coincidentally, three dinosaurs rushed through
the front door, but they were too late. Goldilocks was gone, and all
that was left in the house were three disappointed dinosaurs.
And the moral is:
Goldilocks: If you ever find yourself in the wrong story, leave!
Narrator: And the moral for the dinosaurs is:
Dinosaurs: LOCK THE BACK DOOR!
