This paper makes a case for further studies on the contribution of peace museums to interfaith dialogue debate. We argue that there is a lacuna in the study on the contribution of peace museums to the interfaith dialogue debate. The development of community peace museums in Kenya, in predominantly Christian communities, and the use of traditional religio-cultural artefacts in peace education and peace building is a case of
interfaith dialogue worth documenting. With religious conflict threatening to tear the fabric of society apart, the question of interfaith dialogue is now paramount in the search for sustainable peace and development.
The Emerging Church and The One Project? is a series of PowerPoint presentations asking the question if there is in fact a connection between the two. The purpose of the presentations are not to lambast those who want to lift Jesus up, but rather to allow leaders of the One Project to tell us in their own words (and the words of those promoting the project) what their goals and aspirations really are, and how these goals have been enacted in their past experiences.
Presentation 1 of 10 is a summary of the Emerging Church as defined on Wikipedia. This is a summary of the 17 page article found there which is taken from many leading proponents of the Emerging Church here in America.
Presentations 2 through 4 deal with Leonard Sweet, a leader in the Emerging Church movement and a professor at George Fox University, and many of the nearly 50 books he has authored which express his various viewpoints.
Presentations 5 through 9 deal with the five main leaders of The One Project, four of which graduated with or started DMin degrees from George Fox University under the mentorship of Leonard Sweet. In each presentation an objective look is taken at material in print telling of each leaders work and ministry up to 2012. The question will naturally follow; is this the direction we should be leading our young people in the Adventist Church?
Presentation 10 deals with the One Project gathering in Seattle, February of 2012, looking at the claims of the Project “Jesus. All” and comparing this to what really took place at the gathering. Yes, there was some good points made, and we need to lift Jesus up, but…. We also take a look at a little of the evidence suggesting The One Project is a response to GYC.

In June of 2012, Oracle published their Release Value Proposition (RVP) for PeopleSoft HCM release 9.2. We anticipate the general release of PeopleSoft HCM V9.2 sometime in early 2013.
Our resident HCM expert Anne Meyer has analyzed and summarized the salient points from the 85-page HCM RVP into a this presentation. Anne's commentary provides solid information on the most current release of one of PeopleSoft’s primary modules.

Abstract: Effectively performing code review increases the quality of software and reduces occurrence of defects. However, this requires reviewers with experiences and deep understandings of system code. Manual selection of such reviewers can be a costly and time-consuming task. To reduce this cost, we propose a reviewer recommendation algorithm determining file path similarity called FPS algorithm. Using three OSS projects as case studies, FPS algorithm was accurate up to 77.97%, which significantly outperformed the previous
approach.

Abstract: Code ownership establishes a chain of responsibility for modules in large software systems. Although prior work uncovers a link between code ownership heuristics and software quality, these heuristics rely solely on the authorship of code changes. In addition to authoring code changes, developers also make important contributions to a module by reviewing code changes. Indeed, recent work shows that reviewers are highly active in modern code review processes, often suggesting alternative solutions or providing updates to the code changes. In this paper, we complement traditional code ownership heuristics using code review activity. Through a case study of six releases of the large Qt and OpenStack systems, we find that: (1) 67%-86% of developers did not author any code changes for a module, but still actively contributed by reviewing 21%-39% of the code changes, (2) code ownership heuristics that are aware of reviewing activity share a relationship with software quality, and (3) the proportion of reviewers without expertise shares a strong, increasing relationship with the likelihood of having post-release defects. Our results suggest that reviewing activity captures an important aspect of code ownership, and should be included in approximations of it in future studies.

World peace can be fully accomplished only when the wisdom and efforts of the world’s religious leaders are combined cooperatively and respectfully with the endeavors of national political leaders. Absent the recognition of spiritual principles, the world has drifted increasingly toward analyses and prescriptions that are materialistic and secular in nature. In so doing, we have lost sight of the profound wisdom to be found in humanity’s spiritual heritage.
Global institutions must be built on a foundation that takes into account the full potential of the human being, not only as a political, economic, and social being, but also as a spiritual being with spiritual needs and a capacity for spiritual wisdom and insight. The legacy of the world’s great saints, prophets, sages, and spiritual leaders cannot be denied or discounted without ignoring what is most fundamental about the human being.
In too many ways the history of religion has been marked by narrow sectarianism, strife, and competitive struggle with other faiths, all to the detriment of the cherished goals and teachings of the founders and scriptures. This cannot continue. The need to eliminate corruption, selfishness, and bad governance applies not only to all nations but also to all of the world’s religions.
Lasting peace depends on cooperative partnerships between governments and religions, as well as NGOs and representatives of the private sector. The United Nations can benefit from a council of religious and spiritual leaders to bring broad vision and wisdom to the effort to address critical global problems. International conferences, publications, networking, and on-the-ground activism are mechanisms for interfaith cooperation and lay a foundation for spiritual renewal at the United Nations.

fellowship. In 1984, Rabbi Steven B. Jacobs
banded together with a group of worshippers
to found the New Reform Congregation,
where he performed duties until 2007. Today,
he holds a leadership position at the
Progressive Faith Foundation.

In early February, leaders from Jewish and
Muslim communities throughout Greater Los
Angeles met to discuss founding an LA
Muslim-Jewish Solidarity Committee. The
goal of the proposed committee would be to
determine how to build stronger relationships
between the two communities and promote
cooperative efforts all year, every year.

The summit was held February 6-11 at the
Islamic Center of Southern California, a facility
whose representatives educate the public on the
practice of Islam. The committee, whose leaders
included Rabbi Steven Jacobs of the Progressive
Faith Foundation, set three primary goals. First,
to educate the Jewish and Muslim communities
about each other; second, to build a relationship
between the two groups strong enough that each
can stand up for the other during instances of
anti-Semitism and "Islamophobia." A third goal
was to create and manage social service events.

leaders from the Foundation for Ethnic
Understanding, a not-for-profit organization
devoted to Muslim-Jewish solidarity.
