The global in-vitro fertilization (IVF) market was valued at US$XX billion in 2014 and is projected to grow to US$XX billion by 2019. Rising infertility rates due to increasing maternal age and lifestyle factors are driving demand for IVF treatment. The success rate of IVF decreases with age, with approximately 70% of IVF attempts failing. The US market is the largest contributor currently, but the Asia Pacific region is expected to see the fastest growth over the forecast period due to improving healthcare infrastructure and medical tourism in countries like India. However, the high cost of IVF treatment remains a major challenge limiting market expansion.

Patient Experience Strategy: Rethinking the Fertility JourneyAliza Gold
The journey of assisted fertility (conceiving a baby through medical assistance) is a lonely and stressful one...a roller coaster of challenging emotions that, as experience designers, we hoped to smooth out.
Aliza Gold and Kijana Knight, senior designer / researchers at projekt202: a design and innovation firm, initially gave this presentation on March 26 at the Healthcare Experience Design Conference 2013. It is a case study of a service design and research strategy project for a fertility clinic: Reproductive Medical Associates of Texas (RMATx).
RMATx came to projekt202 for help with creating an excellent experience for patients of their clinic as they were planning and beginning construction on a new clinic in Austin, TX (their first two clinics are in San Antonio).
The team conducted participatory interviews with staff and interviewed patients to build understanding and develop insights. Using what we learned through our analysis / synthesis process, we created a patient journey map, a proposed layout, storyboards for concepts, guiding principles, and a program of the space document. The presentation walks through what we did and discovered, and our recommendations to the clinic. After the HxD presentation, a designer who works with post-traumatic patients said that our findings mapped well to his work and likely to other medical conditions.

Reducing Maternal and Child Mortality in West Africa Improve Health Indicator...ijtsrd
World Health Organization provides reliable information about health performance of countries around the global. In most of their periodical data, sub Saharan Africa kept performing poorly in relation to most health indicators such as maternal mortality, child mortality, HIV AIDS rate, health financing, vaccination coverage for under 1year child and others. A major challenge in the health indicators is the high Total Fertility Rate of West African countries, with some countries recording Total Fertility Rate of six children per woman in her reproductive age. Many researchers have focused in Total Fertility reduction as a way of reducing the poor quality of health in West Africa, but fertility control efforts have not yielded the needed outcomes, as usage of contraceptives in the region is not encouraging. This study used World Health Organizations statistics data for 2017 to established the fact that Maternal and Infant Mortality can be reduced not only by reducing the high Total Fertility Rate but also by increasing the yearly expenditure on health, increasing vaccination coverage, increase the number of skilled birth attendants, while providing other needed health inputs. The paper revealed significant association between total fertility rate and maternal mortality, child mortality and stunting growth of children. The positive association between total fertility and other variables show the high total fertility rate is impacting negatively on the other variables. Hence the need to control fertility rate in West Africa as it will lead to heath systems improvement in the region. Nutrition outcomes of under-five children of smallholder farm households: do ...Olutosin Ademola Otekunrin
The study investigated the nutritional status of under-five children of farm households. The study utilized primary data from 352 farm households with 140 under-five children. Household crop commercialization index (CCI) was used to estimate cassava farm household crop sale ratio and categorize the households into four commercialization levels while WHO Anthro software was employed to analyze under-five children anthropometric indices such as weight-for-age z-score (WAZ), height-for-age z-score (HAZ) and weight-for-height z-score (WHZ). Logit regression model (LRM) was used to examine the drivers of under-five children’s nutritional status of farm households. The study found that 42.9%, 7.9% and 3.6% of the children are stunted, underweight and wasted respectively. The highest stunting level was recorded in zero level households (CCI 1). Although, some higher CCI households (medium-high and very-high level) recorded increased percent of stunted children. This revealed that being a member of low or high-level commercialization households may not guarantee better nutritional status of young children of farm households. The results of LRM indicated that the predictors of children nutritional status were child’s age, farm size, access to electricity, healthcare and commercialization variables. Moreover, weak positive and negative relationships exist between CCI and children’s nutrition outcomes as measured by the z-scores. The study recommended maternal nutrition-sensitive education intervention that can improve nutrition knowledge of mothers and provision of infrastructure that enhance increased farm production and promote healthy living among farm households.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).

Global In- Vitro-Fertilization Market Report
3. Executive Summary
IVF stands for in-vitro-fertilization and refers to artificial fertilization for people that want to have a baby but are having
difficulty getting pregnant.
Rising incidences of infertility as a consequence of increasing maternal age as more women are now starting families
later in life is leading to a rise in demand for IVF treatment. Furthermore, lifestyle induced disorders such as obesity and
smoking are contributing towards high infertility rates. These together are thus driving the in-vitro fertilization market,
as women and their families prefer in-vitro fertilization procedure more compared to the other available procedures.
The global in-vitro fertilization market is also witnessing lucrative growth with an increase in medical tourism activities
in the developing economies such as India, China and Brazil.
The major limiting factor of IVF market is the cost involved in the treatment. Another challenge is the low level of
awareness in the developing economies such as Nigeria. Beside the legal and ethical issues, clinic issues are also major
challenges in the growth of the IVF market, for example the risks of the multiple births.
The US emerged as the highest revenue contributing regional market in 2013. The growth of this region is attributed to
the presences of large population base suffering from infertility. Moreover, the availability of high disposable income
with the people of this region is affecting the growth positively. Asia Pacific is expected to grow at a highest CAGR over
the forecasted period of 2015-2019. Presence of unmet medical needs coupled with favorable government initiatives
pertaining to the development of healthcare infrastructure in emerging economies such as India, China and
Japan. Australia has the highest market value and number of the IVF cycles in the Asia-Pacific region. Furthermore,
increasing medical tourism and availability of cost effective medical procedures in the India are expected to positively
reinforce In-Vitro fertilization market.
4. Global In-Vitro-Fertilization Market Report
The current standard of treatment for infertility is in vitro fertilization, or IVF, but according to certain studies, the success
rate of IVF also decreases with age and fails approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 99% of the ART procedures
performed in the United States in 2013 involved IVF and comparable dynamics are found in international markets.
