Remember to: Smile Have a loud voice & be enthusiastic Wear your AIESEC shirt? Try to memorize most of the material – we want to seem professional! Emphasize that it is on Global Citizen – Brazil!!
Just a short yet impactful video on the power of AIESEC :D - Make sure the volume and lights are adjusted well during set up (dim lights in the front if necessary) – make sure you have an AV key
Honestly – don’t look at the screen for this: you’ve been to conferences – you should get a feel of what AIESEC is Be passionate! Smile! Get people to really be envious and WANT to be with AIESEC
Introduce these statistics but you don’t have to go through all the numbers - Just emphasize in general how huge AIESEC is and its network and alumni
Don’t just list off the values! Explain through 1-2 sentences of how we do this and how you can become an even better individual!
- Just some of our partners around the world, don’t need to explain too much
Just recognize one or two phenomenal leaders NOW who were graduates from AIESEC! Emphasize the leadership potential and cultural understanding that can be gained from being with AIESEC Opens your world, gives you more perspective, etc.
So, what are we offering? Global Citizen Program in Brazil! - Volunteer opportunity
Really sell “Brazil” !! - Emphasize the “2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil” and how it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity! Safety wise in Brazil = no nationwide advisory from Canadian Government
Make sure you get them to realize that there are different internships available for each different working area of interest! (different TNs regarding different interests)
Emphasize ALL.
Just choose a few to really talk about + if one of the people presenting have done an AIESEC exchange before (get them to determine which skills they feel are the most important skills that they learned)
So, what does AIESEC look for in a potential exchange participant? - Don’t have to list out all these aspects, but mainly emphasize the ones you feel are really important
$465 is the administration fee paid to AIESEC Canada & $10 is the membership fee paid to AIESEC WesternDO NOT mention the database!!!! Cost effective way compared to other organizations Emphasize HOW AIESEC is different from these other organizations + why they should choose AIESEC
CHANGES WILL NEED TO BE ADDED ONTO THIS SLIDE OR ANOTHER SLIDE! Assign DUE DATE for registration on aiesec.ca/apply Emphasize Review Board will be done through meeting up (be it in Toronto/London), coffee dates (1 on 1), virtually -> so when/where this will happen After RB, payment will need to be done RIGHT after they finish (should they pass)! So remind them to bring credit card & $10 membership fee when meeting up. SO MAKE SURE that the EP is 110% confident that they want to go through with AIESEC especially with GCDP Brazil! Explain what Outgoing Preparation Seminar & Reintegration is! (will be provided with a PPT) OPS: to help the EP prepare for going abroad (visas, how much money to bring, etc.) – MUST be done BEFORE they go abroadReintegration: reintegration of EP back into Western (sharing stories, adventures, what they learned, their goals?) – in September/October
DO NOT DO NOT show them the database!!! - GCDP Brazil is done based on PROJECT MATCHING – so we really just want to FOCUS on the subproducts we are offering for summer- DO NOT mention that there is a database! Remember. This is JUST for GCDP Brazil!!!!
