Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

7. Where we are now
We’ve reached the classic “chasm” of start-ups….
We’re busting at the seams, with 15 new Chapters lined up to launch
in the next two quarters (and requests daily for more), the organization of our
Catalyst Conference next Spring, and serious interest in all of our programs from
organizations around the world….
Great! It IS great…. But we need to grow our Global team fast in order to
execute on this interest, and grow the organization at the pace it wants grow at.
We’re already making an impact on the careers and aspirations of thousands of
women, and the continual demand for this is astounding.
Oh yeah….we’re incredibly biased, but we think this organization can grow
well beyond the current chapter reach and programming and make a real
impact on women in technology and entrepreneurship
around the world….. That’s our passion and our goal.
8. Goals for the next year
! Increase our Chapters around the world……With a particular
focus on US, Africa, Latin and South America and Asia.
! Launch our priority programming
! Global Classroom – We have seven years of research into this, all of the
platform needs in place with contracts signed, and our first course curriculum created,
targeting girls in STEM fields.
! Catalyst Conference – We have a location (Phoenix), a date (Spring 2015)
and have confirmation and interest from some excellent women (we can’t say who just
yet, but trust us, they’re fantastic).
! GIT U – We want to launch our GIT U program in 10 universities around the globe
in Fall 2015.
! GITHacks – We hope to implement several on-the-ground hackathons in the next
year, as well as one global, online hackathon.
! Grow our Global team……We’d like to have 5 full time staff by the end
of 2015.
! Fundraise aggressively……We’re currently speaking with a lot of people
about sponsoring our organization and its programming, as well as researching and
applying for relevant grants…. BUT THESE TAKE TIME. Therefore….
10. Who are you, and why do we need you?
! YOU
! Some who feels passionately about the mission of GIT
! Someone who believes our organization has growth potential beyond its current state
! Someone who would like to help us grow effectively
! Someone with the expertise, network and guidance we need to grow
! Someone who can move quickly
! US
! We need to cover current organizational overhead
! We need to immediately increase our personnel and bandwidth to support our growth
! We need to fill in the time gap between where we are now and when will see funding
from sponsorships or grants (2+ months for all)
11. Our Ask
Be part
of our
Founding
Circle
Individuals or corporations who
would like to support our growth by:
! Donating $1,000-25,000 (or more…)

Our goal is to raise $100,000 in this time period. This will
help us cover overhead and personnel while we work on
additional funds.

12. Our Return
! We’ll provide you with marketing materials
throughout the year so you can see and point to the
impact of your donation.
