The document provides instructions for clearing old profiles and resetting network settings on an iPhone in order to add new network settings for browsing with giffgaff. It instructs the user to check for and remove any old giffgaff profiles, reset network settings, navigate back to the settings menu, and enter the new APN, username, and password under mobile data and MMS settings.
2. Clearing Old Profiles
Firstly, we’ll need to check if
you’ve got an old profile.
Head to:
Settings > General > Profile
If you can’t see “Profile”, then
you’re ready to move on. If you
have an old giffgaff profile, tap it
and press “Remove”.
3. Reset Menu
Back on the “General” page, we
now need to tap “Reset” (don’t
worry you’re not going to lose
anything).
4. Resetting Network Settings
Hit “Reset Network Settings”.
When prompted you’ll need to
press the red confirmation
button to go ahead with the
reset.
At this point, you may be asked
for your iPhone passcode if you
have one. Your iPhone will now
reboot.
5. Navigating back to Settings
You’ll now need to navigate back
to where you were before:
Settings > General
Select “Mobile Data” (or
“Network” depending on your
iOS version) and then “Mobile
Data Network”.
6. Adding the New Settings
Enter the following settings
under “Mobile Data”:
APN – giffgaff.com
Username – vertigo
Password – password
Leave Visual Voicemail as it is.
7. Adding the MMS Settings
Scroll down to MMS and insert
these settings:
APN – giffgaff.com
Username – vertigo
Password – password
MMSC –
