Bluegrass for the Next Generation
The Gibson Brothers concert is a fundraiser for Bluegrass for the Next
Generation — an effort to promote the genre at the college and in the
community, through classes, scholarships, concerts, jam sessions and a
show on SUNY Plattsburgh’s WARP radio station.

The Bluegrass for the Next Generation scholarship is now here.
Applicants must enroll in and pass MUS119 (Introduction to Bluegrass
Music) and take lessons on a bluegrass instrument — banjo, mandolin,
string bass, fiddle, Dobro or guitar. Enroll now in MUS119 for spring

named the Gibson Brothers “Entertainer of the Year” for
the second straight year. The group has received many
other accolades, such as having one of their songs,
”They Called It Music,” reach No. 1 on the Bluegrass
Today Weekly Airplay Chart on April 12 and May 17.
