Mentoring at GIBS is not a process, it is a model relationship that mentors
and mentees hold. GIBS is concerned towards student’s emotions, interests,
growth. To address their concerns, the faculty, placement and alumni of
GIBS follow unique mentoring & counseling model. In addition, there will be
a personal life coach & career counselor available in the college. Each GIBS
student will be assigned one mentor from the L&D department, one from the
Placement Department, one from the Business Department and one from
Corporate. It will all be done on a one-to-one basis. The timing will be set in
advance with the students. Mindset, skillset, spiritual quotient, emotional
quotient, happiness & success, communication development strategies,
family values and so on would be the main focus of mentoring.

OBJECTIVES OF INTERNSHIP PROJECT:
The main objective of Industry Internship Project is to provide complete understanding about the company and its culture,
ecology etc. The multidisciplinary study helps the students and organization to analyze and organize to fulfill its needs or
achieve the combined goals of its employees and the company. Industry Internship Project include different fields/areas
which deal with different spheres/departments of the organizations. This project can showcase the relation between the
traditional, present and future of the organizational structures, practices and processes. Students learn to manage the
internal and external factors that influence companies growth. The internship also trains students in research and
managing the learnings in a better effective manner to improve the organizations performance.
2. Applied knowledge, skills, experience to organizational study.
3. Acquired new learning through challenging and meaningful activities / research.
4. Demonstrated professional skills in the preparation of the presentation.
5. Demonstrated awareness of organizational issues.

ELIGIBILITY & CREDITS:
The Industry Internship Project is a mandatory project for GIBS PG students. They will have to successfully complete the
project to be eligible for their PGDM degrees. The project is evaluated for 3 credits and has to be completed after the 4th
trimester i.e., from 1st September 2022 till 15th October, 2022 on offline mode with the company. The duration of the
internship will be for 6 weeks followed by Viva-Voce. This internship may be the students first introduction to the world of
work, or maybe the students’ have been exposed to professionalism many times before. No matter where the students
skills and understanding of professionalism lie, internship is a chance to develop them even further.
