62d ESBE History
1933: Constituted as the 62d Signal Battalion in the Regular
Army.
1939: Activated at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
1949: Redesignated as the 62d Signal Battalion, Corps
1998: Converted and redesignated as the 62d Signal Battalion.
2009: Activated at Fort Hood, Texas, as the 62d Expeditionary
Signal Battalion.
2024: Modernized and redesignated as the 62d Expeditionary
Signal Battalion – Enhanced.
Present: Subordinate to the 11th Corps Signal Brigade,
stationed at Fort Cavazos, Texas.

● BASEBAND Operators (2 Soldiers): Handle the setup and configuration of routers and
switches for network connectivity.
