on the first day of school
Two Truths and a Lie
• Each student shares 3 statements: 2 truths and 1 lie. The class guesses the
lie. Great for fun surprises!
Human Bingo
• Create bingo cards with facts like 'Has a pet', 'Traveled to another island'.
Students mingle to fill in names.
Find Someone Who
• Students find classmates who match prompts like 'Speaks another
language' or 'Loves mangoes'.
All About Me Poster
• Each student decorates a poster with drawings/words showing their
favorite things. Display around the room.
Secret Buddy Match
• Each student gets a classmate’s name and clues, then mingles to discover
who their secret buddy is.
Classmate Interview
• Students pair up, ask each other questions, and introduce their partner to
the class.
Name + Movement Game
• In a circle, each says their name with a unique motion. Next student
repeats previous names & motions.
Would You Rather…
• Ask fun questions: 'Would you rather fly or be invisible?' Students move to
sides based on answers.
Puzzle Pieces
• Each student decorates a piece with personal facts. Combine into a class
'community puzzle'.
Emoji Feelings
• Students choose an emoji to represent their feelings and share why.
