Gettier Case
There are two contestants left on a game show, one man and one woman. The man has blonde
hair, and the woman has brown hair. The show host tells them both that the person with blonde
hair will win the game. Therefore, the man thinks he is going to win. According to Plato’s JTB,
he thinks it is true, his belief is justified because it is what the host told them, however, it is not
true. The woman has dyed her hair, and she is a natural blonde, and she wins the game. The man
did not have knowledge that he would win the game because he didn’t know that the woman was
a natural blonde.
